SKIN SCRUB

Exfoliating Skin Scrub

An exfoliating skin scrub is a cosmetic product used to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. It typically contains small abrasive particles or chemicals that work to physically or chemically loosen and remove dead skin cells, revealing smoother, brighter, and healthier-looking skin. They are often used as a part of a regular skincare routine to improve the texture and appearance of the skin.

FAQs

What are Anti Wrinkle Injections (AWI)?

  • Anti wrinkle Injections, are a neurotoxin that is commonly used for cosmetic and medical purposes. It is derived from the bacteria Clostridium botulinum, which is found naturally in soil, dust, and in the intestinal tracts of animals and fish.

  • When injected in small doses, AWI can temporarily relax muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face. AWI are commonly used to treat forehead lines, crow's feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows.

  • AWI are also used to treat medical conditions such as chronic migraines, excessive sweating, and muscle spasms. In these cases, AWI can help alleviate symptoms by blocking nerve signals that cause muscle contractions or excessive sweating.

It's important to note that AWI should only be administered by a licensed and trained medical professional. While AWI are generally considered safe, there are potential side effects such as bruising, swelling, and muscle weakness. It's also important to discuss any medical conditions or medications you're taking with your doctor before receiving Anti Wrinkle injections

How long do AWIs last?

The effects of AWI can last anywhere from three to six months, depending on the individual and the area that is treated.

Is AWI safe?

When administered by a trained professional, AWI is generally safe. However, like any medical treatment, there are risks involved. It is important to discuss the potential risks and benefits of AWI with a qualified healthcare professional before undergoing treatment.

What areas can be treated with AWI?

AWI is commonly used to treat forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet. It can also be used to treat other areas of the face, such as the chin and the corners of the mouth.

Does AWI hurt?

The injection process for AWI is generally quick and relatively painless. Some people may experience minor discomfort or a stinging sensation at the injection site, but this typically subsides quickly.

Complications of AWI

While AWI is generally considered safe, there are some potential complications that can occur.

These include:

  1. Injection site reactions: Some people may experience redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. These reactions are typically mild and subside within a few days.

  2. Drooping eyelids: In some cases, AWI near the eyes can cause the eyelids to droop temporarily. This typically resolves on its own within a few weeks.

  3. Headache: Some people may experience a headache after receiving AWI. This is usually mild and goes away on its own within a few hours.

  4. Allergic reactions: In rare cases, people may experience an allergic reaction to AWI. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include itching, hives, difficulty breathing, and swelling of the face, tongue, or throat. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.

  5. Other complications: In very rare cases, AWI injections can lead to more serious complications, such as muscle weakness, difficulty swallowing, and breathing problems. These complications are extremely rare and are more likely to occur when AWI is administered incorrectly or in excessive amounts

Are There Alternatives to AWI?

While AWI is a popular cosmetic treatment for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, there are several alternatives available that can achieve similar results. Here are some common alternatives to AWI:

  1. Dermal fillers: Dermal fillers are injections that can add volume to areas of the face that have lost volume due to aging. Fillers can help to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines, and can also be used to enhance features such as the lips and cheeks.

  2. Chemical peels: Chemical peels are a type of exfoliating treatment that can help to improve the texture and tone of the skin. They work by removing the outermost layer of skin, which can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  3. Laser treatments: Laser treatments use focused beams of light to target specific areas of the skin. They can be used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as to treat other skin concerns such as sun damage and hyperpigmentation.

  4. Microdermabrasion: Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive exfoliating treatment that uses a special tool to gently remove the outer layer of dead skin cells. This can help to improve the texture and tone of the skin, and can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  5. Anti-aging skincare: There are a variety of anti-aging skincare products available that can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. These products typically contain ingredients such as retinol, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid, which can help to boost collagen production and improve skin elasticity.

If you are considering an alternative to AWI, it is important to discuss your options with a qualified healthcare professional. They can help you determine which treatment is best suited to your individual needs and goals.  If you would like to go ahead, please see prices below and book an appointment now!
